Ms. Nemat has significant experience representing individuals and business entities and individuals.
She serves as outside general counsel to various companies, assisting them through implementing proper legal processes, personnel matters, contract negotiations, and compliance issues.
She assists medical providers with all their workers’ compensation, litigation and compliance needs.
Prior to the Law Office of Brissman and Nemat, Ms. Nemat was a partner with the Eminent Domain and Business Services practice groups at Best Best & Krieger LLP, the Inland Empire’s largest law firm. There, she focused on assisting clients through all steps of litigation, including jury trials.
Ms. Nemat has authored several articles that have been published in The Daily Journal, WorkersCompCentral, California Water Law and Policy Journal, California Real Property Journal, PublicCEO.com, Riverside Lawyer. In addition, Ms. Nemat has spoken at several events, including those held by the International Right of Way Association and the CLE International Conference on Eminent Domain.
Ms. Nemat is a faculty member for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), where she teaches deposition skills to new and experienced attorneys.
Ms. Nemat obtained her bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Social Behavior as well as in Criminology, Law & Society from the University of California, Irvine in 2001. She obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Davis in 2004.
